Honestly for every wedding I shoot I feel completely honored and blessed to be a part of such an important day. When I am editing the photos after the wedding, I feel a real connection and investment in the day. I am invited into the joining of two families, the start of a new family- it’s huge, and I am thankful. But when the family is one that I already have ties with, one that already has worked their way into my heart- well, it’s hard to work through the wedding and not just completely give over to the tears of joy or just pull up a seat and marvel at what God has done. I do some of that, don’t get me wrong ;) Allison’s family is one that I look up to and love dearly. Allison’s older sister Meredith is a dear friend of mine and the whole reason we’ve wiggled our way into their family. ;) I was so honored when Allison and Sam asked me to shoot their wedding. Typically whenever I travel, Ben comes along as my assistant, for which I am infinitely thankful. Traveling with him is 100 times better, and he’s a pretty fantastic (and handsome) assistant on wedding day! So last weekend, we took off to Tulsa, Oklahoma for Allison and Sam’s wedding.
The wedding day was hot and muggy and complete with the loudest thunderstorm I have ever heard. Allison’s dad officiated and friends and family gathered at Camp Loughridge to celebrate this beautiful day together. It was such a perfect day and such a privilege to be a part of.
Allison and Sam, we love you and are so excited for what God has in store for your marriage! Congratulations friends!
Love these girls.Cutest pair ever. Uncontested. :)
