I met Anna in college when we spent a year sharing an apartment (with 6 other girls!) at Salisbury University. Anna has such a sweet spirit and love for the Lord. Then, comes her love of travel. While spending some time in Ireland, she met Joe, a true Irishman, amazing drummer, man of God, and as her matron-of-honor Tia said, the puzzle piece that fits completely perfectly with Anna. Joe moved to America to be with Anna and they planned a meaningful wedding for the first weekend of spring. While Maryland weather can certainly be unpredictable, I don’t think any of us really expected to have so much snow on the ground for their wedding day! I have to say, it ended up providing the perfect background for our portraits! The men in their bow ties, the girls in beautiful tulle skirts, and Anna in a dress custom altered to include lace from her mother’s dress- the details were perfect. Anna and Joe planned an afternoon reception at Farmer Tom’s barn complete with Irish accents for Joe- my favorite being the traditional Irish dancing! And, I couldn’t have captured this day as it unfolded if it weren’t for my dear friend and amazing photographer, Renata, shooting this wedding with me! I’ve talked about Andrea & Renata before, as these two helped me to grow into my business in the beginning and continue to be some of my biggest support!
Anna & Joe, it was a privilege to be your wedding photographer and a joy to witness your day! I hope you are having a wonderful week away! :) So much love to you both!
