I haven’t done a two-part wedding blog post before… but as I spent the evening preparing this one, I knew it just had to be a two-day event! It was just too difficult to narrow it down to a decent amount of photos. Thus… you should definitely stay tuned for part two coming soon!
Part of why it was so hard for me to pick a reasonable amount of photos to blog is that Brittani’s family is near and dear to my heart. I have talked about working at camp before, about how I was there full-time before pursuing photography, and I may or may not have mentioned that it’s been a huge part of my life since I was seven years old. Brittani’s family worked at camp for years, and while Brittani and her siblings grew up at camp (literally… born and raised camp kids!) I would come each and every summer and spend time at camp… with this family! I remember Brittani and her sister and two brothers always just being a part of camp. And Bryce? His younger brother has attended camp as well. So it’s just one of those weddings that pulls at my heart strings. :)
We arrived at Flora Corner Farm where everything was simply perfect… except for the rain. It rained half of their wedding day and was unseasonably cold for May. But that didn’t stop the day from being perfect. When we met up with Brittani and her girls, you wouldn’t know that the current rain showers were any source of stress at all. Everyone was filled with such joy and the weather was just a minor detail. The wonderful staff at Flora Corner Farm did everything they could to wait until the last moment to set out ceremony chairs, the outdoor cocktail hour and more. Uncooperative weather is always a reality that you just hope to never encounter! But this group handled it with such grace. And so, the day was wonderful.
For this ring shot, I was absolutely thankful for the rain. :)
Our first attempt at getting a photo with Brittani and her sister, Kelsey. Kelsey immediately cried once she took a good look at her sister… and I too almost teared up at this sweet moment. And truly? This entire bridal party had my heart. Such a great group. :)Brittani and Bryce had one of the sweetest First Glance moments.I love to give my bride & groom somewhat of a private moment for the First Glance. Granted, we are snapping away as they see each other for the first time- but for the most part, I like for it to be a moment just the two of them share. But Brittani’s girls? They were going to do their very best to sneak a peek from afar, and I love that Alyce grabbed this photo!Brittani and Bryce? I just love you guys. And this is when I proposed that Brittani and Bryce just hop on into that tall grass while it’s definitely sprinkling. And what did Brittani say? “Yeah! Let’s do it! I’ll have plenty of time to plug in the curing iron before the ceremony!”. I. Love. Her.
After warming up inside for a bit, the bridal party came out to join us.
Obviously, the guys had superhero undershirts. From Superman right on down to Ironman. Isn’t that what you wear under your tux?
Stay tuned for part 2… because there is definitely more to come! Like I said… there’s just too much to share! And you definitely don’t want to miss the reception. ;)
