This is actually my third session with Cybil and Pete and I am so completely honored each time that they trust me with their family photos. This time, however, they left their two boys at home for an Anniversary Session. Cybil had wanted to do an anniversary session for their 10 year last fall but since she was pregnant, we did a family session instead. They’re about to celebrate their 11 year anniversary but technically they can say we successfully completed 10 year anniversary photos! :) Whenever I do engagement sessions, I get completely wrapped up in the excitement of new love. Even if a couple has been together for years before their wedding, the engagement is still a time of newness, excitement and anticipation. It’s such an amazing time in two people’s lives. An anniversary session, however, reminds me of the steadfastness of love. Ten years and two kids later and Cybil and Pete still stand close, nuzzle up to one another, and frolicked through fields to chase perfect light with me. Ten years (almost 11) ago, they got married at Cybil’s parent’s Eastern Shore farm, so doing their portraits on our farm here seemed like the perfect location. I know you’ll love these two and their completely precious, farm-inspired, love shoot.
