On the same day that I did Shelly and Jason’s portraits, I had the opportunity to do Erica and Dave’s portrait session as well. Erica and Dave are friends of Shelly and Jason and work alongside them with New Rhythm Project. I was excited (and a little nervous) about photographing these two because Erica is a talented photographer herself and Dave is in the world of videography. We couldn’t help but talk a little “Canon” while we walked around the city, but, we has lots of other things to chat about as well- these guys were so fun. Erica and Dave have been married for a few years and this Washingtonian couple wanted portraits together while capturing some of the older architecture and character of the city that they’ve come to love so much. At one point Jason asked Dave, “Do you like having your picture taken?” and Dave’s response was something to the effect of, “it’s important, so I do it.” I love that. And I love that I have the privilege of capturing the importance of life through photography.
Obviously Erica and Dave moonlight as models. ;)
(Please note Erica’s super adorable shoes…)
I mean, you guys… seriously.
We grabbed these last shots just before packing up in the car and heading out. And I am so glad we did!
And of course, we had to get one of the whole group together. Love this. :)
