Happy Friday, friends! And happy 11 shopping days left until Christmas! But who’s counting? Just because I haven’t started doesn’t mean a thing. On this day last year, I was pulling into the airport in Vienna, Austria to spend two weeks with some of the dearest people I know. I am thankful to be home this year and I am thankful to currently be sitting by my Christmas tree with my little red dog and a fire in the wood stove… but a part of me loooongs to be reliving last Christmas’ trip to the amazingness that was Vienna at Christmastime.
Since I can’t share a European Christmas with you today, I will share a wonderful Christmasy family session that I had the privilege of doing last week. Gina and Mike are friends of mine which always makes the session a little more challenging and a little more fun. :) We met at Homestead Gardens which is a beautiful local nursery right down the road from where we live (and one of my favorite places to drive by at night during this season!).
We had time for a few portraits with just Gina and Mike…
And if we’re Facebook friends, you may have already seen what resulted at the end of this set of portraits. The kids got just a little too close to the koi pond… and these reactions are priceless… ;)
I’ll leave you with what may be my favorite photo of the day- one of the very last. I think it’s safe to say the kids were done “posing”. :)
Merry Christmas! :)
