Katie and Brian attended the Naval Academy together. There is even a photo of them standing side by side at a ceremony during their years there. But it wasn’t until after graduation that they actually met! These two are clearly made for each other and have a beautiful and genuine love between them. They planned a gorgeous wedding that took place in Katie’s hometown and at the fabulous Historic Oakland in Columbia.
Our day began at Katie’s mother’s home.Katie wore her mom’s veil and her grandmother’s jewelry. Love that! Katie’s father passed away a few years ago and she did so many things to honor him. Her brother walked her down the aisle, which was just perfect.
The price to pass, is a kiss! :)While we were grabbing a few portraits of Katie and Brian at the church, I turned around and saw this. All of the bridesmaids giving their feet a rest, standing in the street. :)
Katie and Brian made time for plenty of great portraits around Historic Oakland.
Such a beautiful backdrop! And a good looking group, of course. This group of girls was one that definitely “has each other’s back”. They would do anything for one another… maybe it’s because more than half of them proudly serve in the Navy! They’ve been through a lot together! :)I just love these! You guys nailed it. :)
Oakland was such a charming venue and Vicki Coutros with Raise Your Glass Events did a phenomenal job with the settings, flowers and cake! Rouge catering did a wonderful job with food as well. Since Katie and Brian are both Naval Aviators, the guys sang “You’ve lost that lovin’ feelin'” to Katie as a nod to Top Gun. :)
And a perfect send off to end the night.
Congratulations Katie and Brian! We just love you guys!
