I arrived at Rosemont Manor in Berryville, VA and it immediately took me back a good 200 years or so. :) I love the history behind old buildings and even more, I love the details in the design- everything from the intricate crown moulding, the weathered hardwood flooring, and the wavy window pane glass. The manor is kept up beautifully and does a wonderful job of preserving its history.
Choosing Rosemont Manor as their wedding venue was perfect. It was clear that the simple and classy details that Katie and Erick had planned for their wedding were a perfect reflection of the timelessness of Rosemont. It was a very cold day on Sunday (you know, in preparation for the “snowquester” that was sure to come later in the week!) But the sun was shining and everything went smoothly. A perfect way to start off the 2013 wedding season!
Katie’s gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown.
We braved the cold for a few outdoor shots! So worth it.
The reception took place at the beautiful Carriage House on the Manor grounds.
True Star Wars fans, Katie and Erick entered their reception through a light saber arch.
Jake of Dream Day DJs kept the party going! (And the light saber made its appearance again, as a means for the limbo, of course.)
Thank you, Katie and Erick, for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day! I trust you are having an amazing time in Europe!
