I am bursting at the seems excited to share this engagement session. I love these two so dearly. Camp (which I have shared about multiple times on this little bloggity) has connected me to some of the most amazing people as I have spent many years working there. And what’s even more amazing, is that I’ve had the privilege of photographing much of my “camp family” in the last year. (I met these friends through camp and was honored to be their wedding photographer, and then there is this wedding, or this one, or this family, or this one… so many I’ve met through camp!) I actually have known Kellan for a long time- she and I went to the same elementary school. We are a few years apart though, so we really didn’t get to know one another until we reconnected at camp. She and Sam met during both of their first summers as camp counselors, and it was almost an instant connection. Throughout most of college, they maintained a long-distance relationship and traveled up and down the eastern seaboard to visit each other. Now, three years later, they are both living in Maryland and planning their June wedding- I am so honored to call these two my friends, and now, my clients. :)
We started our session near Kellan’s home. I had to take a minute to swoon over this driveway before we started shooting. I mean, if these aren’t the most perfect fall trees!?
I just love these two.
I have to admit, this next set is my favorite of the day, and maybe one of my most favorites ever. Kellan and Sam both grew up by the water (Kellan in Maryland and Sam in Florida) and they both love all things nautical. Sam loves to sail… in fact, when we got to the waterfront there were a few boats on the river and Sam just stood and pined for a moment at the sails, wind, and water. :) So these next photos, are. just. so. them.
I know this is basically the same photo, three times, but I just couldn’t decide which I liked best!
Kellan, you are gorgeous.
I am so thrilled for the two of you, and I can hardly wait for your wedding! Love you guys!
