Kristi-Anna + Johannes | Portraits

I am really excited to share this post with you because it includes two of the most wonderful people. Kristi-Anna is my friend of many years and Johannes is her boyfriend and my friend of just under one year. But I love them both dearly and I was honored when they asked me to do a few portraits for them.

My aunt recently handed down to me 11 (yes, eleven) full photo albums in chronological order from birth to when Ben and I got married. They are filled with photographs, some of very important events and some of what could be considered generally insignificant moments. But I love that she captured so many moments of life so I can look back now and see how things were, in that very moment. So, although I am primarily a wedding photographer, I will be the first to tell you that it doesn’t have to be an engagement, or wedding, or birth of a child, or some other “very important” time, to justify having photos done. What a gift to remember life as it is now, for years to come, because of photos.

Johannes and Kristi-Anna were both born in Sweden… Johannes has lived his whole life there, and Kristi-Anna has lived in many different places (mostly in the US). Kristi is back living in Sweden and while she and Johannes were in the States visiting this summer, we took advantage of our short window of time to do some portraits- so they could remember life right now, as it is… as they are.

This laugh- I love this laugh.

I think this might be a favorite.

Thank you, Kristi-Anna and Johannes, for allowing to capture this time of your life. Love you both!
