Marina + Nick | Annapolis Engagement Session

I have loved, loved, loved my recent family and senior portrait shoots. Truly. Loved them. But I am ecstatic to share this engagement session with you! Being a wedding photographer primarily, I can’t help but to love an engagement session. I love working with couples, I love capturing love in this way- the season of engagement is such an exciting time in a couple’s life. And I love that this is my job. :)

Marina and Nick are two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Marina works at my husband’s school as a PE and dance teacher and Nick works as a PE teacher in Virginia. Needless to say, they are a perfect match. When we met up for their engagement shoot last weekend, it was one of the first really sunny days I think we have had yet this January and we were thankful for the little bit of warmth that the sun offered. We decided to do the shoot downtown Annapolis at the Naval Academy for both its beautifully manicured grounds as well as a few beautiful indoor spots to provide some warmth! :)

See? I just love the Naval Academy… (both for just being the Navy… Go Navy! And, for beautiful buildings like this one!)These next few images… this was the moment when I was super thankful for that gorgeous winter sun…

What Marina won’t tell you is that she is a PE teacher by day but a model by night. ;)

And a little friendly competition!

Marina and Nick, thank you for such a beautiful session! I can’t wait for your wedding in October!
