When I arrived at the cabin where Stevie and her girls were getting ready, Stevie was still dripping wet from swimming in the river. Having never met Stevie and Jared, I immediately knew that it was going to be a fun wedding day. She gave me a big (albeit wet) hug and I went on to start shooting all the beautiful details of their wedding day. Stevie and Jared picked the most beautiful spot for their wedding. Clore Bros. is settled right on the Rappahannock River in Fredericksburg Virgnia and the skies were perfectly blue for their entirely outdoor ceremony and reception.
Stevie’s beautiful dress and the cutest (and most comfy) wedding shoes, her lacy white Toms.
You will see more of their love for Coca Cola later. :) And that gold ring in the second image… that is a family heirloom that Stevie wore as her “something old”. I loved that the date, 1887, was inscribed on the inside of the band.
Sweet Stevie… just such a beautiful bride.
There was a pretty long strip of lawn that Stevie walked down before she got close to the aisle, where Jared was waiting at the end. I love how in the second photo, you can see her smile widen at the sight of her groom.
We had a short amount of time to fit in the bridal party photos and the portraits of Stevie and Jared, but even still I am thrilled with the way they turned out!
Just as I was about to have them move out of this kind of strange spotlight the sun was creating, I decided I kind of liked what the light was doing here…
I told you Coca Cola would make its appearance again- Stevie and Jared toasted with glass Coke bottles. :)
Such a fun couple… such a fun first dance…
Okay. Maybe it was the freedom of being in the great outdoors… but seriously these two had the most epic cake-smashing after they cut the cake. You can actually see a piece of cake flying out of Stevie’s hand toward Jared in the first image. :)
Stevie recently graduated from James Madison University and while she was a student there, she led a small group for the Intervarsity ministry there. Now, I know JMU is a big school, but when Stevie said she wanted a picture with her “small group” I was surprised at the number of girls that filed in for our photo. :) They were a beautiful, fun (and of course, hardcore), bunch of women!
And a beautiful sparkler exit to end the night!
Stevie and Jared, thank you for allowing me to be your wedding photographer. I hope all the best for you as you settle into your new home in New Orleans!
