My dear friends, affectionately known as Team Davis, have never had a portrait session with me, which is just plain sad. Meghan and Dave have been our friends for forever. Well, actually Meghan really has been my friend for my entire life. When your parents are friends first, that’s just the way it is. I have spent many summers and holidays visiting Coastal Georgia to see Meghan and her family and to say we are close is an understatement. If Meghan liked green, I liked green… New Kids on the Block, The Beatles… the truth is I looked up to her in every way. When she and Dave got married, I was in the wedding and she was at our wedding with just one and a half children. Dave has accepted me as part of the package, and likewise, Ben has joined the club. ;) We are able to visit a few times a year and Georgia is almost like a second home to Ben and me. So as I said, to only just now do a portrait session together just seems silly! But it was a fun afternoon and I am so glad we did it- even if we had a few bumps in the road (thank goodness they are such good friends! ha!) So, we headed over to Epworth by the Sea, on St. Simon’s Island Georgia, as it holds great memories for this family. Meghan spent a lot of her youth and college years at the camp here and she and Dave married at Lovely Lane Chapel. And for me, green grass and tall oaks draped in spanish moss, is perfection. This might have been a fairly quick “session” but these images are so special to me because I just love this party of five!
Team Davis… I love you all dearly!
