When I first heard from Tessa about her upcoming wedding, I thought “this is what I love about Facebook!” Tessa and my husband, Ben, were good friends all throughout middle and high school. I remember meeting Tessa on a few different occasions in high school when Ben and I were dating. She was one of those people that even after
meeting her just once, she really makes you feel like you have a new friend. We probably saw each other last at Ben’s high school graduation, and then we all went our separate ways, off to college. Smack dab in the middle of our college years the phenomenon of Facebook started and that was the next time I saw Tessa. Fast forward a few 7 or 8 years and I find myself wishing Tessa congratulations on her Facebook status update to “engaged”, and shortly thereafter I get an email. An email from Tessa sharing how excited she was to be marrying Bill and how excited she was to see, from Facebook, that I was a wedding photographer. And needless to say I am very excited to get to be their wedding photographer!
I met up with Tessa and Bill at Great Falls Park, a place where the two of them love spending time together. It was so great to meet Bill and to see Tessa for the first time in almost 10 years! We walked around the park catching up on life and pausing periodically at the perfect locations.
Tessa’s ring is an heirloom of Bill’s family and she is the third generation to wear it. I love that!
Bill and Tessa both belong to a climbing gym and here I am thinking, “um, I sometimes run on a treadmill, which is cool”. They were so comfortable on these little rock scrambles– what you can’t see is me hugging on to tree limbs every time I moved even one step. :)
So beautiful, Tessa. And I just love that curly hair.
Tessa and Bill, I am so happy for you two and so honored that I get to be a part of your wedding this fall!
