When we chatted with our dear friends, the Cranfords, about coming down to do Noah’s senior portraits, I asked Denise if she knew anyone with a cotton field. I have seen photos of cotton fields of course, but 3 years ago when Ben and I were driving through North Carolina in the fall, I saw a cotton field and immediately said “I want to take photos of someone in that field!” And so, as we planned our trip to NC last weekend I asked Noah’s sister Bella if she would let me do a quick portrait session with her. In the cotton. She was more than happy to do that for me, and somehow when we arrived, I convinced the whole family to let me take a few photos. I think it’s because they are so nice. ;) We literally had 15 to 20 minutes before the sunset… largely in part due to a tennis game that went long and underestimating the driving time. Even still, this quick impromptu photo shoot was so much fun. I can’t say enough what a privilege it is to photograph friends. I hope this whirlwind of an evening was worth it, Cranfords, and you love the images. ;) Love you!
