I have known Julie and Matt for years– years before they had children and years before they were married. We met at Camp, where over the last 19 summers, I have met so many wonderful people. They have a sweet boy named Caleb and a precious girl named Abby. Abby was born with an extremely rare disease, (only 9 known people in the world have been diagnosed with this), called Cerebrocostomandibular Syndrome, or CCMS. Abby has truly defied the odds of CCMS and is walking proof of our miraculous God! Abby’s momma and my friend, Julie, has a blog where she chronicles the daily happenings of their family as well as the incredible journey of Abby. You can visit Julie’s blog, here!
It goes without saying, that I was honored to do family photos for the Leach family. One of my favorite things about doing portrait sessions is walking around from place to place and getting to catch up or learn more about the people I am with. And I love all of my fabulous clients for letting me cut our conversation off, mid-sentence, to say “ooh! Let’s stop here… the light is gorgeous!” Don’t worry. We always pick up the conversation where we left off. :) Anyway, here are some of my favorites from my time with this sweet family!
I love how Caleb loves his little sister.
How can your heart not melt just a little?
Julie has a bracelet that reads, “With God, all things are possible.” They had a picture taken with Abby and this bracelet in the NICU… so we had to take one today to show how far she’s come!
Thanks again, friends, for letting me take these photos for you and be a small part of your journey together. :)
