Vienna | a Trip Outside of the City

I am back in the States, and after a long day traveling on Monday it is so good to be home– yet I miss Vienna already! It was such a great trip, such a great time with friends and just a really wonderful way to spend the Christmas season and New Year’s Eve. I am really so thankful to have had the opportunity to spend Christmas in Europe. Even though our trip is over, I have a few more pictures that I’d love to share…

Last week we ventured out of the city and took a train to Hallstatt. We all agreed it was almost necessary to see at least some of the Alps on our trip and who wouldn’t enjoy the quaintness of a mountainside village in Austria? I have to say, I think this was one of my favorite days of our trip. It snowed, gigantic snowflakes, all day. It was the most perfect, quintessential, snow covered Austrian village. I was thankful for the more mild weather for the entire time we were in Vienna, but we all said Hallstatt almost looks like it was was a village built for snowy winter weather. I have never seen anything quite like it…

And, to prove that we were actually there :) …
